Flatforms

Flatforms are possibly one of the most perfect shoes, they give you the height of a heel minus the agonizing pain. I've been wearing my new pair from Wittners (above) non stop, they are so comfy and I can wear them for hours.
Here are some of the photos that inspired me to buy myself a pair...

I think a white or tan pair will be my next purchase...but I also think I need to cut up my credit card

New Things/Merry Christmas

I haven't post in a couple of days so I thought I would show you a few new additions to my collection of clothes and accessories.
The tie-dye shorts I bought today from the swapmeet near my house for just $2 but they would be a super simple DIY if you have an old pair of denim shorts to spare.
I made this transparent clutch myself! I just bought some plastic from Bunnings and some Poppa Fasteners from Spotlight and whipped it together following Genevas' from A Pair and a Spare really simple DIY here.
I adjusted the measurements to suit the size I wanted and had to use a hammer to smash in the Poppas'. I would have taken photos to show you all details on the process, but it was 12am and I was half asleep in my underpants.
The little silver bag inside the clutch was an awesome purchase from Typo, I walked to the counter thinking it was $15 but it had actually been reduced to $5!
Finally the watch I am wearing was a lovely Christmas present from my beautiful boyfriend. It is a simple rose gold watch from Diva that emulates the iconic Michael Kors watch which I can't afford.

Hope you all have an amazing Christmas and enjoy your time with friends and family!

Puffer Inspiration

I recently purchased this puffer vest from the markets for just $4 and wanted to give this trend a try! So I've had a quick look at a couple of blogs and found some inspiring photos on how I can wear this vest. Let me know in the comments how you would wear it!

Hope you're all having a good week!

Happy Friday!

This is my final look in my three part shorts posts. Wearing the Bettina Liano pleather shorts, I have styled an all black, evening summer look with a top that was thrifted, Sportsgirl heels, and silver accessories: thrifted bangles, aviator sunglasses from Jay Jays, and silver clutch that my nan gave me.

Hope you all enjoy the weekend!

Think Pink!

I have put together another casual look for you today with my pink denim shorts, this time trying to look a bit more girly. Wearing the most perfect white tshirt ever from Sportsgirl, with my necklace, watch and shoes also from Sportsgirl, sunglasses from a Red Cross OpShop, wooden bag from the markets, and finally the pink shorts from Jay Jays.

In an unrelated note, I got my license today! Very terrifying but also really exciting.
Other road users, watch out!

Sir, Yes Sir

Day One in my appropriately lengthed shorts outfits.
Here I am channeling the whole khaki/army trend with my Miss Brown camo tshirt from General Pants Co, pairing it with ankle boots from Betts, a burgundy wide-brimmed hat by Rhythm, gold spike bracelet from Diva, thrifted gold chain bracelet, cat eye sunglasses from Sportsgirl, and of course my distressed denim shorts from Jay Jays.
Chunky gold chain bracelets should be a must in everyones jewellery collection!

Note to self: Practice posing in mirror.

See you all tomorrow with my next outfit post!

I'm Over It

This summer I am taking a stand and saying no to short shorts. I am tired of seeing other girls wearing what can only be called denim underwear. I will admit I was a bit of a slave to the trend a few years ago (Oh how a tan makes everything look good), but no more. This summer season I will be wearing only shorts that appropriately cover my derriere and will not ride up between my legs.
So for the next 3 days I will be posting how I style these 3 pairs of shorts, 2 everyday looks and 1 evening wear!
These shorts from Jay Jays look deceptively short however I purposely purchased a size 12 rather than a 10 to ensure they sit lower around my hips rather than my waist. I really like the distressed look of these, feeling they have been inspired by those One Teaspoon shorts that so many adore (I tried those on and they were too short at the front!)
These trusty pleather shorts by Bettina Liano were bought a few seasons ago but have never gone out of style. Their stiff fabric ensures there isn't and riding up in unwelcome places!
Finally another pair of shorts from Jay Jays. When buying these, I was influenced by the pink Isabel Marant shorts that bloggers worldwide were crazy for some time ago, and I have finally caught on to this trend! Pink I feel is going to be a big colour this summer as you can see in a previous post here.

Happy Monday Everyone!

Sunday Market Haul: Part 2

This post has most certainly been overdue, but time has just gone so quick that all the days have blurred together and I'm trying to grasp the idea that Christmas is only 19 sleeps away! So here are a few more pictures of the treasures that I have found at my local swapmeet!

To avoid massive delays again between my upcoming posts I have pre-prepared them! And you guys will finally get to see some outfit posts! I know, shocker right, but I think its about time I get over my fear of posing and show you guys what I actually wear.

I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

Sunday Market Haul: Part 1

Going to the swapmeet near my house has become a part of my Sunday morning ritual, that as well as making pikelets for breakfast! I love rummaging through peoples' stalls looking for one of a kind pieces that I know I cannot find in stores. These are a few images of the pieces that I picked up 2 weeks ago.

A lace jumper that I couldn't get a neat photo of.

I love the shoulder detail on this top.
Hope you're having a lovely week! Part 2 will be up in a few days!

Arcadia

Last week I had the pleasure of attending the Curtin Fashion Graduate Show 'Arcadia'. It was a very cool night and I got to see so much amazing local talent. These pictures are from the photoshoot that the students did with the lovely people at All of the Above Creative, and I have chosen my favourite designers out of the 20 that were showcased.
(Above Image: Ariana Davis)
 (Anna Jacoba Hohnen)
 (Stephanie Kinsman)
(Samuel McCloy) How beautiful is the piece on the left!
(Emily Muco) I work with this girl and her runway pieces were amazing, really quirky and wearable!)
 (Stephanie Fulham)
 (Katherine Young)
What I Wore: Dress - Sportsgirl, Vest - Mink Pink from an Op Shop, Opaque Stockings - Sportsgirl, Platforms that you can't see - Op Shop
I wanted to dress really funky that evening, I was trying to stand out and felt really good in what I was wearing!
Little Instagram pic from yesterday showing a headpiece that I have made from old, fake flowers I found on the side of the road. Hopefully using it for a photoshoot soon!

Halfway to the weekend and I'm excited!
