So yesterday I went on a double date with my boyfriend and our 2 best friends and we went and saw The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. It was an amazing movie, really captivating even though I found a couple of scenes confronting for me. I am definately going to read the books now, I just hope my impression ofr them won't be influenced too much by the movie. I found Rooney Maras' transformation into Lisbeth Salander really amazing, she totally committed to the role and did such an amazing job, when I read on Wikipedia later the other female actresses up for the role I thought that none of them would be able to do as good of job as she did.
I thought that Lisbeth had a really cool, grungy style so I found some items online that I thought matched her personality. I think her style would be good for me to incorporate into what I wear for the coming up winter season in Australia, despite my magazines telling me that things are heading towards pastel, under the sea type colours. I've always liked darker clothing, finding that it suits me a lot better than bright colours and prints, so I think this style will be interesting to experiment with!

i'm almost finished with the third book and have yet to see the movie...i am DYING to see the movie! nobody will go with me - they say it looks too creepy. the books are really amazing-they totally hold your interest and they all have twists that you never see coming!! i love daniel craig...he's one of my favorite actors. definitely must see! i love the pieces you picked - especially those leather pants!

I saw this movie with my boyfriend last week & it is one of the best of the year in my opinion, even if we're only at the begining. I have an enormous girl crush on Rooney Mara, her performance is one of the best I've ever seen. She was like I saw Lisbeth while reading the books, which are really good. But I must be a hipster or something because I don't appreciate all the mainstream about Millenium ("I knew it three years before ....")

ReplyDeleteHaha that movie! The girl with the dragon tattoo. With the "Swedish" accent they try to put on! I'm Swedish and all my friends and I almost died from laughing so hard when we saw this movie. Not even the worst Swede sounds like that! It sounds more like a mix of a Russian and Dutch accent :P
