Daphne.

How cool is her make up in this picture? I wish I could pull off red lipstick, I would wear it always, or maybe I just haven't found the right shade. Do you guys have any suggestions of particular brands or shades?

I've been getting ready for uni lately and its going to be insane just going from lazy holidays to having to work and study massively all of a sudden! I wish it was more of a gradual process.

Orientation Week: Day Two

So today it was like a thousand billion degrees, it was awful. I tried to look cute in this jumpsuit from Ally but by the end of the day I felt so gross from being in the heat for most of the day!
Fossil Watch, Colette Leather bracelet (similar one available from Sportsgirl), Silver Bangle was a gift from my Grandparents, handmade chevron bracelet, and Diva ring.

I just read through a couple of my unit outlines and I already have so much work....ugh I wish my holidays could last longer, its so much fun doing nothing!! So time for bed for me, try and destress!!

Orientation Week: Day One

So this week is my first week at uni for orientation, it's a little bit scary but exciting too. One of the things about uni that I've looked forward to most is being able to wear my own clothes everyday! This is going to be fun. Today I wore a white dress from Ally, a denim vest I got from an op shop, ring from Sportsgirl, and a necklace my mum got me from Melbourne.

Turquoise

So I finally dip dyed my hair this week! Was the most terrifying experience ever, I have never dyed my hair before and I didn't want anything to go wrong! But I am very happy with the result! What do you guys think?
Also how pretty is this ring I bought for a dollar this morning at a market! I'm definately going to go to the markets more often now, they have so much great stuff!

I have my university orientation week starting tomorrow, one fo the reasons why I haven't posted in a while, been stressing trying to get everything organised! I have a question for you guys about what bag you think would be best to carry all my books and stuff in. I'd have to carry around each day a water bottle, phone, ipod, wallet, and about 2-4 books depending which day. So do you guys think I should get a chic backpack, or maybe a cross the body bag or a large tote! Let me know what you think!!

Anniversary

So I had originally planned to post this all yesterday but blogger was being a pain to deal with so I gave up to instead go to sleep. So yesterday my boyfriend and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary, and he was so gracious and tolerant enough to take me out shopping for as long as I wanted so we could pick out each others presents. He bought me this lovely scarf and the necklace below.
I bought myself these really cool geometric earrings from Sportsgirl!
I bought it! The awesome fur vest from General Pants Co
The very pretty necklace my boyfriend bought me from Colette.

To Buy, Or Not To Buy...

Yes that is the question I am asking myself today, whether or not I should purchase this awesome faux fur vest from General Pants Co for $89.95. Fur is coming back this season in Australia and I'm wanting to hop of board with this trend so have been searching for the perfect fur vest. Do you think this one is it? Let me know!

In unrelated news this is my new conch ring, I love it so much, it makes me look like Jenna Marbles, if you don't know who she is, look her up on YouTube! She's hilarious!

5 Things That Brightened My Weekend

Sorry for lack of posting the past couple of days I've been working and getting ready to sell some old things at the market, which I did yesterday, and was great fun, I made $183, so I am very happy but I still have a lot of stuff to sell. These are a couple of pics of things that made my weekend just that bit more special
Small clutch that I bought at the markets for $2 dollars, it fits my cards and money but not my phone unfortunately
My friend who I went to the markets with had these shoes which she couldn't sell so sold to me for $2 they are so cute!
2 new pairs of pants, the burgundy jeans that I was talking about a few posts ago, and a pair of brown pants gifted from my friend
I made this necklace last night, I had sudden inspiration to make it while I was out yesterday so I went to a bead store and got the supplies I needed and I already had the skull beads at home. It took me about 2 hours to make with a lot of swearing as the jump rings I was using went flying everywhere all the time.
These are two shirts I bought from an op shop yesterday, the white one I have big plans for which I shall post in a DIY in the coming weeks!

I'm now going to play dress ups with my new clothes!

The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo

So yesterday I went on a double date with my boyfriend and our 2 best friends and we went and saw The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. It was an amazing movie, really captivating even though I found a couple of scenes confronting for me. I am definately going to read the books now, I just hope my impression ofr them won't be influenced too much by the movie. I found Rooney Maras' transformation into Lisbeth Salander really amazing, she totally committed to the role and did such an amazing job, when I read on Wikipedia later the other female actresses up for the role I thought that none of them would be able to do as good of job as she did.
I thought that Lisbeth had a really cool, grungy style so I found some items online that I thought matched her personality. I think her style would be good for me to incorporate into what I wear for the coming up winter season in Australia, despite my magazines telling me that things are heading towards pastel, under the sea type colours. I've always liked darker clothing, finding that it suits me a lot better than bright colours and prints, so I think this style will be interesting to experiment with!

1 Sportsgirl Boots $149.95
2 Sportsgirl Bracelet $19.95
3 H&M Dragon Tattoo Jacket
4 H&M Dragon Tattoo Fake Ear Tunnels (You can probably find something similar on etsy!)
5 General Pants Co Biker Jacket $129.95
6 H&M Dragon Tattoo Leather Pants
7 H&M Dragon Tattoo Knit Snood
8 General Pants Co Tank $189.95

Sorry I don't have the links for the H&M items I couldn't find the pieces on their website even though they had a range dedicated to the movie, they must've discontinued it or something!
