My Beauty Products

I mentioned a few posts back that I wanted to do a post on my beauty products and since I have a routine kind of down I thought I'd talk about what I use all the time. In the above photo is my small collection of brushes, most of them are from the Manicare Artiste Collection, their smaller brushes are good but I find that the larger ones tend to shed a bit. But I'll continue to buy these brushes as they are quite reasonably priced for me.
This is a picture of the mascara's and eyeliners that I use. The green tube is a mascara that I've just gotten today from Revlon so I am yet to try it, I usually use the Rimmel mascara which is in the blue tube I found that it gave my eyelashes a lot of volume but tended to clump them together. The liquid eyeliner I use is on the far right and it has a really nice colour and application. I usually use a Revlon eyeliner pencil, yet since it's getting a bit small I've just bought a Revlon crayon, I had a quick test of it today and it is amazing, a great dark colour and stays on the inner rim of my eye well. I sometimes use a coloured eyeliner like white or gold to highlight the inner part of my eye close to the bridge of my nose (I don't know what it's called) the gold is from Napoleon Perdis and the white is by Chi Chi, and both apply really well.
I've just started testing an omSHE pure magic primer to see if it had anny effect on my make up lasting throughout the day, I haven't really noticed much of a change but it is the nicest thing to put on my skin, it is so soft and doesn't even feel like a cream. I use a MAC concealer which has been quite decent, but needs to be layered quite a bit before it has a big effect covering up dark circles under my eyes. I just got fitted with a Revlon foundation and it has been working really well so far, I only need a small amount to cover my face, if I use too much it only makes my face look cakey.
I occasionally use a MAC bronzer which is amazing and natural. The main eyeshadow I use is from Sportsgirl, it is not very pigmented so it doesn't give a full coverage when I want it, but it is really nice if you want a subtle look throughout the day. I use a Napoleon Perdis finishing power sometimes but combined with my foundation it makes me look too overly powdered, I think I need to start using a brush or change the sponge applicator. My blush is from Nutrimetics and I really love the colour, it gives me a nice natural look.
For make up remover I use the brand Face of Australia which has been working so much better than these wipes I used to use. For a brush cleaner I use the one produced for my brushes, it works decently, but my goodness it smells so strong, definately use in a ventilated area!!

Let me know in the comments what your favourite make up brands are and what your favourite product is! I'm always looking to try new products to find the perfect ones!

Lisbeth Salander Inspired...

I absolutely loved the english version of 'The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo' and thought Rooney Mara was amazing as Lisbeth Salander. I really admired her grungy style and thought her shark tooth ring was the coolest thing ever and since seeing the movie I've been wanting one, yet finally today I was able to find the supplies to make my own. You can semi see the ring in the above image, I wasn't able to find a close up.
1. I had a ring with a flat top, my shark tooth, and a pendant with a hole in the centre for the shark tooth to fit into. All I had to do was cut off the top of the pendant so it would no longer be for a necklace.
2. I next used a nail file to file down the sides and the base of the shark tooth so it would fit inside the pendant and sit flat on the ring.
3. I used super glue to stick the sides of the tooth to the pendant and waited for that to dry before I stuck the whole thing to the ring.
4. I finally stuck the shark tooth and pendant to the ring. I'm now going to put some solder inside the pendant to fill up the empty space and to also keep the shark tooth even more firmly in place. (I just need my dad to help me, he's the one with the tools :P)

I am so happy with how it looks and excited to wear it out, I just hope I don't stab myself, or someone else, with it!

Red Knit

How gorgeous is this outfit Jasmin from Friend in Fashion styled with her red knit from Sportsgirl!
I went into the store today looking to buy one myself but I was so disappointed to find that it was insanely itchy! I can't tolerate itchy clothing so I was so sad that I had to leave it behind! But I did leave with a new pair of sunglasses which I'll show you guys once I take a photo!

Illustration Inspiration

So many photos in this post! But these are just a couple of the images I've collected over the years of illustrations I adore, unfortunately I can't remember any of the artists names. One thing that I've been wanting to do more of recently is draw so I've spent all afternoon at it but haven't produced anything that I really like yet. Do you guys have any artists that you admire? Leave me their names in the comments and I'll check them out!

My Photoshoot...

So these are the final images from the photoshoot I did with my friend that I talked about in my previous post. I did all the make up, hair, styling, photography....it was a very full on Saturday!
Sorry about the big watermark I've put in the middle of the images, it's just because of my irrational fear of the internet and people taking my photos and taking credit for them.
My secret dream is for someone to see these and go Jaeger you're fabulous come work for me and do fun fashion stuff all day long! As if, I'm a 17 year old girl with a DSLR camera, but I can dream can't I? Haha, one day I will be doing this fun stuff for a living!

Enjoy your week!

Photoshoot Inspiration

Next weekend I'm doing a photoshoot with one of my friends for a uni project where I've had to make 3 denim jackets with a motif on the back of them. So these are my moodboards for each different denim jacket. I'm so excited and promise to show photos once they're edited and all lovely!

Katy Perry

So last Saturday night was my friends 18th and it was a glitter themed party, I went as Katy Perry from her California Gurls video, not really related to glitter, I just thought it would be super fun to dress up as! And it was! I had so much fun making the costume and thought I looked awesome. I also did my friends hair and make up which you can partially see in the last photo, she went as Ke$ha. I was also really happy with how she looked because I was pretty much making it up as I went along!!

Enjoy the rest of the week everyone!
