Black and Silver

Yay blogging again! Sorry I've been missing for two weeks, uni and work have been taking over my life a bit and in my spare time I seem to just want to sleep. So I'll try and get back into a regular blogging pattern from now on and to start it off I just wanted to share a few of my recent online and instore purchases. I seem to be favouring all things black and silver at the moment, it's such a great combination. Top picture are earrings from Sportsgirl, next are two bracelets I've bought off eBay, a ring off eBay also, and finally the most perfect beanie ever from ASOS.

Ah Simplicity...

This was the plan for my outfit today for my first day back at uni which ended up as a bit of a bust, with my lecturer being ill for two of my classes which I had been very much looking forward to! 

I wore Jay Jays jeans, Bonds white tee, City Beach Necklace, Diva Ring, Bardot Beanie, Vintage Denim Jacket.

Feeling the Parisienne Love...

How gorgeous are these photos from StyleStalkers' latest lookbook for 'Parisienne'? They make me want to dress up lavishly and walk around the streets of Paris as if money was no issue.

DIY Plan

So heres the plan. I'm going to turn this cute denim jacket I found at the markets for $2 into an awesome distressed jacket as seen on the forever amazing Victoria Tornegren. Have any of you guys got any tips for denim distressing, any tried and true methods would be much appreciated! I've had a look online but I haven't found anything that good.

Also apologies for bad quality iphone photos, my mum stole her fancy camera. I've actually been looking for a decent camera for myself, something that is about 16MP and around $100-$250ish dollars, so any recommendations on that too would also be great!

I'll try to predict the future...

 I found this image on tumblr and for some reason I was so captivated by the simple beauty of a messy bun and vintage hair comb that all I have wanted to do is buy myself a similar one. I predict a trend coming on that will hopefully hit Australia in the coming months after the trend of hair cuffs has petered out. Below are images of hair combs that I have found on etsy and ebay.

Painting

 If you follow me on instagram you would know that for the past few days I've been staying in the comfort of my home watching movies and painting, which is something I haven't done in a few years and I am so glad I have taken it up again! Painting is the most relaxing thing and it has allowed me to just chill out for a few days and not think of anything. What I have painted is a copy of one of my new favourite artists work Anya Brock who creates really beautiful, dreamy pieces and I saw this picture (above) in a magazine and thought I needed this in my room, however since I have no money to buy the real thing, instead having an old canvas lying around in my room, I decided to create my own. The next few pictures show my progression over the past few days.
