Sunday Market Haul: Part 1

Going to the swapmeet near my house has become a part of my Sunday morning ritual, that as well as making pikelets for breakfast! I love rummaging through peoples' stalls looking for one of a kind pieces that I know I cannot find in stores. These are a few images of the pieces that I picked up 2 weeks ago.

A lace jumper that I couldn't get a neat photo of.

I love the shoulder detail on this top.
Hope you're having a lovely week! Part 2 will be up in a few days!

Arcadia

Last week I had the pleasure of attending the Curtin Fashion Graduate Show 'Arcadia'. It was a very cool night and I got to see so much amazing local talent. These pictures are from the photoshoot that the students did with the lovely people at All of the Above Creative, and I have chosen my favourite designers out of the 20 that were showcased.
(Above Image: Ariana Davis)
 (Anna Jacoba Hohnen)
 (Stephanie Kinsman)
(Samuel McCloy) How beautiful is the piece on the left!
(Emily Muco) I work with this girl and her runway pieces were amazing, really quirky and wearable!)
 (Stephanie Fulham)
 (Katherine Young)
What I Wore: Dress - Sportsgirl, Vest - Mink Pink from an Op Shop, Opaque Stockings - Sportsgirl, Platforms that you can't see - Op Shop
I wanted to dress really funky that evening, I was trying to stand out and felt really good in what I was wearing!
Little Instagram pic from yesterday showing a headpiece that I have made from old, fake flowers I found on the side of the road. Hopefully using it for a photoshoot soon!

Halfway to the weekend and I'm excited!

Lets call it "Abstract"

These pictures are a good week and a half overdue, but better late than never right!
These are my few favourite pieces from The Dreamers event in Fremantle. It was an interesting night and I was glad to see some local talent that I had not seen before, however I found that some of the outfits were catered more to older women and therefore didn't hold any appeal for me.
Apologies for shoddy iPhone quality, so for any blurry or horribly focused picture I am using artistic license and calling them "abstract". I promise I am working on the good camera situation!

My partner in crime Crash looking fabulous as usual.
I did not have one good photo of me from this night because I looked tired and it was windy so I chopped my head off and played around with Photoshop to make up for it. I am wearing Sportsgirl shoes and pants, David Lawrence black singlet and felt crop top made by me! You may recognise it from a few previous posts.

Nearly time for the weekend, who else is excited?

Sudden Want

Black Flare Pants. Too cool.
I am forever in skinny jeans and think this would be a great change. I just imagine pairing them with oversized tees and staked bracelets.

Hope you're all looking forward to the weekend as much as I am!

It's a bit excessive...

I was looking through my closet the other day and realized how many denim pieces of clothing I own, most of it has come from the markets and has only cost me a couple of dollars but I think I've gone a bit over the top and need to stop being drawn to every denim jacket I see at the markets!
I've just taken a couple of photos of my favourite pieces some of which I am very much looking forward to wearing in the warmer months.

I hope you all are enjoying the weekend!
