This Week I Am...

Inspired By...sleeveless jackets. I bought one of these from the markets months ago but have yet to wear it so I am trying to find some outfit inspiration.
Wanting...quirky shoes. The crazier the better.
Wearing...one of my favourite rings from my collection. This was gifted to me by my parents and is so beautiful and definatly something I need to wear more.
Listening to...All of the lights by Kanye West. An oldie but a goodie.

Sunday Market Haul: Part 34

My bad for not posting this yesterday but I've been so sick that I have hardly been bothered to do anything. Despite a beautiful day yesterday and a full markets I found nothing except these bracelets all for $1. There were lots of girls selling clothes but it was one of those days where everything was either too big or too small.

Shades of Blue

I managed to escape for a little bit today from all my homework and did a bit of shopping in the city. There is nothing good out there right now, everything is either boring or too expensive. All I came away with was this denim pencil skirt from Dotti on sale for $21.
I paired it with a shirt from Missguided, necklace, shoes and watch from Sportsgirl, and handbag from the markets.

This Week I Am...

Inspired By...Creative Make Up. I really want to do another fun photoshoot soon, I'll probably try to fit one in after uni and before I leave for my holiday. It would be fun to do some really dramatic portraits!
Wanting...An ecclectic/ethnic inspired clutch. I've been scouring all over etsy for the perfect bag but have yet to find something I love!
Wearing...my spike earrings. I bought these ages ago but I really want to start wearing them again as I've been wearing my hair up lately.
Listening to...I'm Already Gone by A Day To Remember. My most favourite band in the world came out with their new album over a week ago and I have been listening to it on repeat!

Sunday Market Haul: Part 33

I only bought one thing this morning, this cool camera-esque bag for just $2. The weather in Perth has turned to crap once again with cloudy skies and rain, and just as I was getting used to the warmer weather, so there wasn't a great turnout today.

Today

Today I spent a few hours in Northbridge with my boyfriend just walking around and checking out a few of the cute vintage stores there. We ended up having lunch at Flipside this awesome burger place before we headed home to watch a movie while it poured down with rain outside.

A few details from what I wore...

I hope you all are having a great weekend!

New Camera

After months of reading reviews online and staring at it longingly in stores, I finally splurged and bought my own camera! It is the Sony DSC RX-100 and is a mix between a DSLR and a Compact Camera, meaning that I can now take quality photos wherever I go without having to lug around my Mums' DSLR. This means that I get to now document more of my life and share it with you all!
I just took a couple of shots around my room to test it out.

This Week I Am...

Inspired By...Wardrobe Organisation. Although I don't have a space like this to really display my stuff, a girl can dream!
Wanting...this whole outfit. I am in love with everything from the print to the ruffles to the shoes.
Wearing...my gem necklace. Being so busy lately I don't have too much time to really think of how I want to accessorise past my watch and a ring or two, so simple jewellery seems to be the way to go!
Listening to...My Kind of Love by Emeli Sande. This song came over the speakers at work the other day on a mixtape one of my friends made and I was instantly obsessed.

Sunday Market Haul: Part 32

What a great morning at the markets, I woke up to a clear blue sky and a full carpark of market stalls, when I saw the "Market Full" sign I almost re-enacted the opening scene from The Sound of Music. I always love the first proper market of Spring/Summer when everyone realises it is actually good weather to sell at the markets and do a big spring clean of their wardrobes!
I bought the above pair of shorts for $5, a bit more than I usually spend on any one item at the markets but I just fell in love with the colours and print!
A few more jewellery pieces for my collection, each were just $1.
A basic stripe tank for $3.
I've been drawn to anything lately with a quirky print and I was so happy when I found this skirt for $2.
A little bit beaten, but for $3 I couldn't help myself - they have buckles!
Adding more colour to my wardrobe with this dress for $3.
Another little swing dress for $3.
A simple shift dress I picked up for $2.
Another favourite purchase from today, a dark olive coat from Cue that I found for $9. It will be perfect for my trip at the end of the year having lots of room for layering!

Colour Injection

(Key ring, Skirt and Top all from Sportsgirl)
Having a wardrobe that consists mainly of black, white, grey, khaki and denim, I am forever looking for the perfect colourful pieces to mix up my daily uniform and have had some luck at Sportsgirl (as usual) recently with the above few pieces.

The top is a part of Sportsgirls '10 Years of Sportsgirls Like' where they have once again teamed up with a bunch of designers with whom they have collaborated with in the past to create some exclusive pieces for some lucky stores. My top was designed by State of Georgia, a wicked Australian brand whose website I have been stalking tonight finding a bunch of pieces to add to my endless want list. I am usually so fussy when it comes to picking a print that I like, so was delighted when I first saw this top, thinking 'finally a well designed pattern'!

Sorry as always for being a lame blogger and only posting sporadically, but uni is coming #1 on the priorities right now! Hope you all are having a fun weekend!

This Week I Am...

Inspired By...Bustier layering. I don't have the right body shape to pull off a bustier by itself so I've currently been liking the look of wearing a leather bustier over a plain tee.
Wanting...Knee High Gladiator Sandals. I remember a few years back when these were considered tacky however right now I am searching for the perfect pair.
Wearing...my new maxi skirt from Sportsgirl. After seeing the Summer Roadshow Preview a few months back, I had been waiting for this skirt to finally arrive in store and it did last week!
Listening to...Pour it Up by Rihanna. Such a trashy video but a really catchy song!

Sunday Market Haul: Part 31

My bad for not posting this yesterday, once I got home from work and had dinner I collapsed into my bed and slept for like 10 hours. All I got yesterday at the markets were these two bracelets for $2.50. Whenever I see girls with a stack of vintage looking silver bracelets on their arms I just think that it is such a cool, carefree look, so I thought I would give it a go myself.

I also saw yesterday a women selling a pair of the now infamous Birkenstocks in a khaki colour and in my size, however once I tried them on I realised how ugly they truly are! While they look cool on some other people, I think I have finally sworn off the trend.
